Lucy Crosby - BSc Hons BVetMed MRCVS

lucyLucy graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2001 and initially worked in a mixed practice in Suffolk. She then spent two years working in numerous practices around the country as a locum vet before finally settling in Cambridge in 2006. She joined the practice in 2007 and became the new owner in August 2012 when John Grieve retired from his full time duties. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine and surgery and practice management.

Lucy enjoys all sport, especially hockey, tennis and horse-riding as well as scuba diving, cycling, hiking and skiing. She lives in the countryside with her husband, young son anddaughter plus Wilf the cat.


Jill graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 1976 and has loyally notched up over 30 years service with our practice. She is well respected, both regionally and nationally, as an authority on reptiles, birds and "small furries" and has attracted many exotic cases to the practice. She currently divides her working life between veterinary practice and teaching student vets at the University of Cambridge.

Jill is also qualified in veterinary acupuncture, which she now practises as an alternative or complementary approach to pain management.

Jill is married with two children and a large number of pets, including dogs, parrots and reptiles.


1349550709056Originally from Somerset, Emma is another of our Cambridge graduates, qualifying in 2001. She began her career in small animal practice in Suffolk before joining us in 2005. Her veterinary interests are wide but with a special interest in diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasound.

Her non-veterinary interests include archaeology and heritage, ornithology and bell ringing. Whenever she has time, she can be found tending to her vegetables on her allotment. Emma’s husband is a lecturer at the University of Cambridge and they have two young daughters and a cat.


carenAfter graduating from Bristol University in 2001 Caren worked in mixed practice for four years before settling in to a dedicated small animal practice. She joined our practice in 2009 and is very happy to have made Cambridge her permanent home. She enjoys the diversity of general practice but especially internal medicine, clinical pathology and soft tissue surgery. 

Caren lives in Cambridge with her husband, two daughters and two dogs. In her spare time she loves long walks, running, pilates and trying to grow things on her new allotment.


jessucaJess has wanted to be a vet for a long as she can remember and claims to have been inspired by the children’s TV show ‘Space Vets.’ She moved from Yorkshire to Cambridge to attend vet school, where she qualified in 2008. She has always worked in small animal practice, spending six and a half years working around St Ives and Huntingdon before joining Cambridge Veterinary Group in October 2015. She particularly enjoys feline medicine.

In her spare time Jess enjoys hiking, and learning new DIY skills as she renovates her house and garden. She lives with her husband and a rescue cat, and would like to keep chickens.


Anna graduated from Cambridge University in 2008 and has worked in small animal practice in Cambridgeshire and north Hertfordshire. She joined Cambridge Veterinary Group in 2016 and enjoys all areas of practice, especially feline practice, imaging and surgery.

Anna lives with her husband, daughter and cat, Lola. She enjoys walks in the countryside and gardening, plus trips to the cinema, cooking and travel.


Jen graduated from Cambridge University in 2009 and has worked in entirely small animal practice since. She joined Cambridge Veterinary Group in December 2016 and is enjoying finally working in the city she lives in, after having commuted out of Cambridge for her previous jobs. Her main areas of interest are in canine and feline medicine but she enjoys all aspects of small animal practice. She is currently studying for a certificate in small animal medicine.
She lives in Cambridge with her husband, young son and Oliver the cat. In her spare time she enjoys spending as much time outdoors as possible, especially running and time in her garden.
