We recommend an Adolescent Health Check around 6 months of age when we discuss the best timing for neutering your dog. This will vary between individuals as it will depend on their breed, size and behaviour.
Bitches can be spayed at 7-9 months of age, or 3 months after a season. However, the specific timing will vary by breed and also factors relating to individual dogs, therefore please do ask us for advice.
Male dogs are typically castrated from 6-9 months of age, but again there is variation by breed and individual temperament.
Cats can be castrated or spayed from 6 months old.
Rabbits can be neutered from 5 months old.
